Another great performance by SA this weekend. They seem unstoppable. And with 2 big guns out the tournament in Australia and recently India, it seems more and more likely SA will run out winners....although anything can happen in T20. Parnell was again most impressive with the ball. This guy is just about the hottest prospect in international cricket. I hope he plays for many years and takes many wickets! Kallis has also impressed me a lot of late, never ever thought I'd see the big guy opening in a 20 over match and I'll quite happily admit the error of my judgment! He's actually a great opening batsman to have in this version of the game! The Poms will get a hiding by the Windies in my prediction, both teams are horribly inconsistent to say the least, but if Gayle gets away to a flyer, it'll be goodnight nurse! Ireland, although I like as the underdogs will probably get hammered by New Zealand, but it'll be worth watching the game in the hopes that they pull something out the hat!
Hi Pom, nope, none of what ya mentioned mate. Those days are long gone. Just interested in cricket and anything cricket related nowadays. This is a cricket forum, so why bother with anything else? Wayne Parnell is going to be one of our best bowlers me thinks. The chap is only 19 and he made England look rather dismal! Our bowling stocks look extremely good for once - when was the last time SA regularly fielded 2 spinners???
Wow, I come back after another long absence and find not much has changed. Everyone's still arguing and name calling, feels just like pre-school. You guys need to grow up a bit and discuss the cricket! Can you all not just act like grown ups for a day? I for one, prefer to discuss cricket and what a performance last night by SA! Clinical, professional and downright awesome! SA must surely now be the hot favorites to win the tournament! They have a perfectly balanced side, the best captain in the world and look rather dangerous at the moment. Any suggestions on who may be able to beat them? India perhaps? Sri-Lanka are also playing superbly too....the semi's should be great entertainment!
I agree with Jack, Graeme Smith is SA's most successful captain (although mybe not quite in the same class as Mark Taylor just yet) and being young - has plenty of time to improve both his captaincy and batting records. Another excellent article Mr. May.....
Hi Pete! Glad to see some positive comments on good old Smithers. Regarding younger wicketkeepers - AB DeVilliers may be worth considering - he's the automatic choice to replace Boucher and the kid has got some serious talent. Bit of a hot head still - but when he matures - I rate he may be as good as Gilly - if not better.
Great article Mr. May - remember me?
I think it's fair to say that it this is indeed the "Cock Up Selection Of The Decade!" It suits me fine though as I'm a South African supporter and Mr. Clarke gave the Protea's a few headaches last year. My money is on Tait being slaughtered in the Caribbean....good on the Aussie selectors for being so kind and offering us some easy bowling!!!! Your sheep is in the mail....but remember, BAAAAAH means NO!

SA all the way! It's the Proteas time to shine and Pakistan should pose no threat whatsoever. C'mon boys!!! The whole of SA are behind you!!!!!!!
