I agree with kiriakoz..........it's been a great series, with great cricket played all round - so let's leave it at that guys. And, the best part is....there's still the series in SA coming up - think it's gonna be HUGE! Can't wait for the Wanderers Test........

And to make my day even sweeter, it's been reproted that the ECB are NOT happy with Kev Pietersen and there are strong rumors he may lose as captain. Instead of being patient and being in Australia right now with Smith the boys celebrating a series win, it looks like he's gonna be looking for other employment on Mud Island....who's the MUPPET now Kev?

Thanks for that NeilB, you plonker. Who I define as a legend has stuff all to do with you and your opinio mate. Smith is a legend in my eyes and always will be. He's lead the SA team Down Under in pure style, willing his troops into battle by setting a fantastic example and the boys rallied behind him. Well done to Australia for winning this Test though, they played the better cricket. I'm just stoked we won a series in Australia in my life time, was beginning to think it'd never happen.

Captain Courageous - Smith you legend. What a gutsy decision to bat with a broken hand.....huge respect.

I agree with Jack, Graeme Smith is SA's most successful captain (although mybe not quite in the same class as Mark Taylor just yet) and being young - has plenty of time to improve both his captaincy and batting records. Another excellent article Mr. May.....

Hi Pete! Glad to see some positive comments on good old Smithers. Regarding younger wicketkeepers - AB DeVilliers may be worth considering - he's the automatic choice to replace Boucher and the kid has got some serious talent. Bit of a hot head still - but when he matures - I rate he may be as good as Gilly - if not better.

I think it's fair to say that it this is indeed the "Cock Up Selection Of The Decade!" It suits me fine though as I'm a South African supporter and Mr. Clarke gave the Protea's a few headaches last year. My money is on Tait being slaughtered in the Caribbean....good on the Aussie selectors for being so kind and offering us some easy bowling!!!! Your sheep is in the mail....but remember, BAAAAAH means NO!
