Hush, Penny.
5 down now - but i reckon another 30 runs would be enough.
438/9 said: "Australia - you suck! I Hope NZ thrash you..." "Ponting can't rally his troops against a mediocre New Zealand side..." Saman said:"I won't say anything about the Aussies until the Black Caps have batted.." Congratulations Saman - well, er...sort of. You've shown yourself to be a lot smarter than 438/9 - but then again, so has my dog... :-)
Wow hussey was caught behind? That Rudi Keurtzen really is hopeless. I thought my stomach was huge until I saw his.
4 down for aussies, but going by NZ innings it is still Australia's game.
Australia would have to be the worst team for accepting the umpires decision. Andrew Symonds appealing like crazy for a caught behind when it hit Taylors body and Hussey sulking after an LBW decision. They always go on about the spirit of the game and how they play hard but fair.. etc etc. Now the sooks are 4/53, well done so far New Zealand.
This racism thing is being taken too far, I reckon. NZ's "All-White" marketing pitch for the upcoming tour of WI was just sloganeering to contrast it with the "All-Blacks" and has reference to the whites worn in test matches. Suddenly, it is being seen as racially insensitive.
Pieterson has a point when he says that inflexibility led to yesterday's game being curtailed. When everyone knew that it would be tough to finish the match before bad-light set in, the on-field umpires should not have insisted that there be a 30 minute gap between the toss and the start of play. Even the lunch break could have been curtailed by 10 mins. But, it begs the question - why did KP opt to bat first if he knew that bad-light might come into play?
Australia are already two wickets down - at this rate the match will be over tomorrow.
Well done, the Aussies. They have seized the initiative here. NZ need to bowl out of their skins again but their batting hardly instills confidence.
Indeed, Poochandi. But, if India is stuck at a given point, they might well be overtaken. I wasn't too impressed with India's performance yesterday. Swami1, looks like you're trolling here. Jaffer, Zaheer and Pathan have played together several times in the past. Do I detect a hint of sarcasm in Arrogant's post? I don't think team selection in India is strictly based on merit - it is getting better, though. But, while there may be a variety of criteria for selection in India besides ability, I don't think religion is one of them.
On a second read ArrogantOz, popular appeal eh? Very cheeky indeed. Well done.
OzUKman, it is some hybrid between Rocky and Ivan Drago. I guess the previous pic of Yuvraj was Balboa then eh? :-D
I agree with the person posting from ArrogantOz's login.
swami1, India would be the last country to religiously discriminate when selecting its cricket team. Some of its finest players have been muslims. Unless you have direct evidence otherwise, you have no basis for suggesting that India selects players for any other reason than merit, reputation and popular appeal. Yours truly, a confirmed atheist, says keep religion out of all sport (and this forum)! Take a leaf out of tisatito's hymn book and let cricket be the religion!
is it Flintoff or Ivan Drago from Rocky 4?
It would appear the ball is still swinging in Brisbane. Lee just picked up How with a full inswinger hitting off.
swami1, what are you upto? This 'muslim quota' thing is BS mate.
Poor attempt from Haddin, he really hasn't looked good in his capacity as keeper or batsman so far.
England went down fighting ? England claim to have aggression at the start of the match , with Bell and bopara opening the batting. Did either of them start like sehwag and gambir do? or like Hayden or Gilchrist did when they had succsess in India. They way bell started off today was nice..but was only a run-a-ball. Where is the 25-ball 40 runs.. first power play use? why is Luke Wright not opening the batting? Why doesnt England go guns at the start .., Giving freddy a free licence to hit . and open open the batting..? If yall would have seen. 2nd oDi 3rd power play.. quickies getting thrashed?by freddy .would'nt it be a good idea For Freddy go wam-bam to make England go on a Flyer? Why is Collingwood being persisted with? why is luke Wright warming benches? why aint harmy opening the bowling? It's time England kept collingwodd for the test series. and attacked with attacking players. Matt prior.. is a disgarace . behind the stumps and with the bat? where is Phil mustard? why is ambrose being kept as cover? England serously need to use their subs . and cook being a good player of spin. could be used at the middle overs? but where is he? .. warming the benches..? Peter moores serously needs to get his ream right and get his susexx fav prior out.. now.
If Irfan makes the final eleven I will be surprised. Three muslims in Indian team. No way.
If I might mention the woeful performances of both minnow nations. Bangladesh and Zimbabwe do not need to be playing South Africa and Sri Lanka respectively. In my opinion there should be two tiers of Cricket. Possibly three. In the "A" division you have Australia, South Africa, India, the Commonwealth, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, Pakistan and New Zealand. Each Test and ODI season you have a play off series for teams in the "B" division to gain promotion to the "A" division. The bottom two teams of division "A" play off against the top two teams from division "B". As far as I can make out Bangladesh would not be playing in the "A" division for very long. When their top players deserted the Bangladesh team the ICC should have decided to withdraw their Test status. Simple. South Africa is facing kids out there. Ok'ish practice for our guys but confidence shattering stuff for the minnows. On that note Steyn and Morkel looked terrible today. Against Australia we will be milked for over 400 in one day if we are not careful. Ntini is looking better. Harris should fall away now for my Man Johan Botha. Surely he should get a run in the next Test in place of the injured Harris. He also ACTUALLY TURNS the ball, lol. I feel this injury might be a blessing in disguise.
Irfan Pathan called up! Fancy that =P And poor Morne will have to get his radar right if he's to do anything to the Aussies, although the Aus first innings was encouraging. Wait until both teams bat, though.
Hey ed what is HULK doing at the top of the page? Is the new movie coming up?

Didnt England recently win a game against New Zealand where bad light came into play and Duckworth Lewis gave them the result.
