Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni insists there will be no flurry of retirements following the humiliating 4-0 Test series whitewash in Australia.
The visitors suffered a 298-run defeat to the Baggy Green in the fourth Test in Adelaide on Saturday with veteran batsmen Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman experiencing dismal tours in the twilight of their careers.
Despite the struggle, Dhoni says there is no need to make snap decisions right away.
"We will have to wait and watch (if there are changes). Our next Test series is only in September, there is plenty of time, we don't want to take decisions quickly," he said.
The World Cup-winning captain added that his team were completely outclassed by the opposition over the series and Australia came out deserved winners.
"They have played consistent cricket. Whenever a partnership was needed, their batsmen stepped up and put par-plus runs on the board. Their bowlers were also consistent. They always stepped up when needed," Dhoni said.
"There comes a phase in Australia when once you are set it is difficult for bowlers. That is when you have to be consistent with line and length. They (Australia) never gave us boundaries easily."
India now have the chance to redeem themselves in the shorter form of the game as they take on the Australians in two T20s before Sri Lanka join them for a tri-series ODI tournament.
"We have the ODI series coming up and there will be a completely different side. It (the tour) is a learning experience for the youngsters. Once you play 100-odd ODIs, it is always good to have that experience when you make your Test debut," he said.
Stand-in skipper for the fourth Test, Virender Sehwag, also added that India would now be turning their attention to the ODI tournament to exact their revenge over the hosts.
"We are still the World Champions. Tests are different from ODIs. Australians were better and so they won the series but we care about our performance as well," said Sehwag.
"Everyone has been working hard but players themselves have to go out and execute the plans. The defeat is disappointing but we need the support of fans."

Yes, Mr. Dhoni, Sir! Wait and wait and wait with a rusty top order, while more deserving ones age away, never to play again. How can u justify ignoring a back-in-form Irfan Pathan. He can bat better than most of your top order batsmen. How many wickets did your favoured boy, Ishant take? What a joke! U can't bat yourself; u r a terrible keeper. What r u doing in the side yourself?
