Fidel Edwards is confident West Indies can bounce back in the one-day arena against England, despite the team's shortcomings highlighted in the longest format of the game.

England completed a resounding 2-0 Test series triumph to regain the Wisden Trophy with an innings and 83-run win at Durham.

Edwards was named the West Indies' player of the series with seven wickets - six of which came in the first innings at Lord's.

"For the last couple of months we've been playing on some pretty flat wickets and to come over here to England and get a couple of wickets that are seaming and also bouncing is pretty good for me and my performance, but the team didn't play well," Edwards told Sky Sports.

"Over here it's pretty cold, it's pretty different having to come from the sun and then coming over here and playing.

"It's pretty hard to adapt to the conditions, but we've got some more games left and hopefully we can really start and push on.

"We've been a lot better in one-day cricket than Test cricket so hopefully we should come good in these one-day games."

West Indies will need to regroup quickly, though, with the first one-dayer between the teams at Headingley on Thursday.
