Danny Briggs and Chris Woakes bagged four and three wickets respectively as the England Performance Programme overpowered the Western Australia Seconds by six wickets.

Warwickshire star Woakes (three for 23) accounted for the bulk of the top order, while Hamphire's Briggs cleaned up the tail-enders with figures of four for nine as the hosts fell to 98 all out inside 34 overs.

In reply, Craig Kieswetter hammered a whirlwind 51 runs from just 30 balls, including three sixes and four fours, while James Hildreth's 20 and Adam Lyth's 19 made up the numbers in a convincing win for the tourists.

"This was an impressive bowling performance by the Performance Programme players which set-up what proved to be a powerful win," enthused ECB Performance Director David Parsons after the match.

"Chris Woakes was particularly impressive for EPP, and we were especially pleased to see Danny Briggs pick-up four wickets in his first match of this tour to reinforce his reputation as a young player of clear potential.

"Craig Kieswetter's domination and clean hitting reminded everyone of his capabilities at the top of the order."
