Spinner Graeme Swann is pleased to hear the Australian public calling for Shane Warne to return because he sees it as proof of England's dominance in the Ashes thus far.
England's innings victory in Adelaide has led to hope that 41-year-old Warne could come out of retirement, with some members of the public contributing funds towards making that happen.
Warne has merely responded by saying that he is "very flattered", but Swann is not expecting to see the former great lining up against England in Perth next Thursday.
"I very much doubt that Shane Warne would come out of retirement to play just in these three games," he said.
"It's very good for us that the Aussies are doing this and the Aussie public are looking for Shane to get back in.
"He's not played any cricket for so long.
"We'll just carry on as we are and let the Aussies worry about that."
England will take on Victoria in a three-day tour match starting on Friday, but Swann will be rested after bowling 41 overs in Australia's second innings as he spun England to victory with a five-wicket haul.
"I'm not playing in this game. I've been given the chance to recuperate," he said.
"After bowling 70 overs my hands are almost falling off. I'm very thankful I've been given the game off."
