Ireland's chances of making the Kenya Tri-Series final were extinguished by more heavy rain in Nairobi.
After two successive days of washed-out fixtures, a sodden outfield ensured no play was possible between the hosts and Zimbabwe, sending Ireland out on net run-rate with each of the three sides tied on nine points.
Each side has had two of their four scheduled group games abandoned, leading to a highly disappointing build-up to the final, which could yet become the next victim of the rain.
