Andrew White's 75 proved in vain as Ireland suffered a 50-run defeat to West Indies A in Wednesday's tour match in Belfast.

Andre Russell was the tourists' match-winner with a counter-attacking half-century and six wickets.

Kevin O'Brien and Phil Eaglestone took three wickets apiece as the Windies were bowled out for 251 in 49.5 overs.

They had been struggling on 28 for four at one stage, but Assad Fudadin (50) and Kevin Stoute (61) steadied the innings before Russell's 64 off 31 balls helped them to a competitive total.

Russell then took six for 42 as Ireland were dismissed for 201 in 48.1 overs.

White came in at number six and hit seven fours in his 94-ball knock before falling to Russell.
