Cook and Dhoni lead ICC Teams of the Year

South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has been included in the Test XI for the sixth consecutive year, while team-mate Hashim Amla welcomed a berth for the fourth straight year.
Meanwhile, Cook, team-mate James Anderson, Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara, Australian captain Michael Clarke, South African batsman Hashim Amla and Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni have been nominated for the ICC Cricketer of the Year award.
Amla, Anderson and Clarke are also among the nominees, which include Steyn, Indian duo Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin, for the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year accolade.
Sangakkara, Dhoni, team-mates Shikhar Dhawan and Ravindra Jadeja and Pakistan pair Misbah-ul-Haq and Saeed Ajmal encompassed the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year candidates.

The short-list nominations, which include ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year and Associate and Affiliate Cricketer of the Year categories, were finalised by an independent 32-person panel – led by former India captain and current ICC cricket committee chairman Anil Kumble. Performances between 7 August 2012 and 25 August 2013 were considered.
