Buffalo Park washed out again
No play was possible on the second day of Pool D at the Africa T20 Cup on Saturday after heavy rain and a wet outfield meant both matches were abandoned at Buffalo Park in East London.
Only one match was completed on the opening day of what is the final round of group action before finals weekend next week.
Hollywoodbets KwaZulu-Natal Inland, who beat Zimbabwe on Friday, were due to play Boland in the first game on Saturday. The second match scheduled was between hosts Border and the Zimbabweans.
Both matches need to be concluded on Sunday in order for the group to be completed. Should one be washed out, lots will need to be drawn to determine who goes through.
This happened once previously in the three-year history of the competition when Zimbabwe were the beneficiaries at the same venue last year.
The Africans are set to take on Boland in the first game on Sunday, followed by Border against KZNI, who lead the group on six points.
