Pakistan to host Kenya in short series in Lahore
Pakistan is set to host African associate side Kenya in five limited-overs matches in December, with the Kenyans making a rare trip to the nation that hasn't hosted a full ICC member side within its borders since 2009.
This will be the second time since the terror attacks in Lahore in 2009 that an international side of any level will play in Pakistan, with Afghanistan visiting to face the A-side in 2013.
Kenya will also play against Pakistan's second string, and will play all five 45-over fixtures at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The games will take place between 13 and 20 December.
PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan said: "We have been making efforts to bring smaller teams to Pakistan and the object is to open the door for teams to our country, and we have got the government's clearance on that.
"Look, we hope that international teams will follow suit and we are doing this step by step."
A PCB statement added: "The series is part of PCB chairman Shaharyar Mohammad Khan's sustained endeavour to bring international cricket back to Pakistan, which may see more national teams visiting this country in 2015."
