England have received a much-needed boost ahead of the limited-overs leg of their tour to the United Arab Emirates after Tim Bresnan arrived back in Dubai.

Bresnan joined up with the squad on Sunday after passing a fitness test on his troublesome elbow.

The all-rounder was part of England's initial 16-man Test squad for the series against Pakistan but he was forced to pull out on the eve of the first Test after his recovery from elbow surgery took longer than anticipated.

However, he has now regained full fitness and will take part in an one-day warm-up match against England Lions in Abu Dhabi on February 10 ahead of the opening ODI game against Pakistan.

The Yorkshireman announced his arrival on Twitter: "Just got to Dubai and had a swim. Got the journey out of my legs as they say! Heading to the ground after a feed to spur on the boys!"
