Team doctor Mohammed Moosajee on Tuesday gave the green light to each one of the South African squad ahead of their lengthy visit to New Zealand.

Limited-overs skipper AB de Villiers, all-rounder Albie Morkel, batsman Colin Ingram, spinner Imran Tahir and seamer Vernon Philander were all nursing minor injuries, but have since recovered.

"I'm happy to report that all the niggles we were dealing with after the recent Sri Lanka tour have been dealt with," revealed Moosajee.

"Players were rested and rehabilitated and responded well under the watchful eyes of their franchise fitness trainers and physiotherapists. We have no major concerns and the players responded well to the rest and rehabilitation.

"Vernon played for the Cobras with his ankle strapped and suffered no serious consequences and Tahir's right side has responded well."

Earlier this month South Africa returned Justin Ontong to their limited-overs fold for the clashes against the Kiwis, while Graeme Smith was omitted from the Twenty20 International squad to make way for the uncapped Richard Levi to open the batting alongside Hashim Amla. JP Duminy, meanwhile, re-entered the Test squad at the expense of Ashwell Prince.

Other significant features to the respective squads saw Jacques Rudolph retained for the Tests, Colin Ingram left out of the ODI frame and Marchant de Lange given an opportunity at T20I level.

The Proteas will play three T20Is, three ODIs and three Tests against the Black Caps. The T20I series gets underway in Wellington on 17 February.

"Each squad will need about five days to acclimatise because of the time differences," added Moosajee.

"The T20 squad will go first, then the overlap ODI squad will leave the following Friday, and the Test side the week after that."
