Fast bowler Umesh Yadav is unlikely to be named in India's squad for the fourth and final Test against England, which gets underway in Nagpur on Thursday.

Yadav sustained a lower-back injury in the first match in Ahmedabad and was later ruled out of the fixtures in Mumbai and Kolkata.

An initial prognosis sidelined him for 10 days, but his recovery is proving slower than expected.

The injury has also cast his participation in this month's Twenty20 International series against the same opposition in doubt, while his presence in the squad for the subsequent ODIs against Pakistan remains in the balance.

The tall right armer has taken 32 wickets in nine matches since his debut against the West Indies in Delhi in November 2011.
