Pakistan's exile from hosting international cricket could soon be over, as Bangladesh have agreed to tour there, subject to various security clearances.

The Tigers had originally agreed to play a series in Pakistan in April, but the Bangladeshi High Court ruled it out on the basis of safety. Pakistan have not hosted an international game since 2009, and an attack on the Sri Lankan team bus.

Enayet Husain Siraj, the board's head of cricket operations, told AFP: "We have in principle agreed to tour Pakistan. It's a commitment made by former BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) president Mustafa Kamal. We are keeping his word."

He added a word of caution though, saying: "The tour is subject to security clearance."

Since the attacks, Pakistan have played their 'home' games all over the world, but mostly in the United Arab Emirates.
