Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq gave credit to his spin duo Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman after Pakistan wrapped up a series victory over England with a 72-run win in Abu Dhabi.

With England chasing a target of 145 on the fourth day, Pakistan ripped through the world's No 1 Test team to bowl them out for 72 and give them an unassailable two-nil lead in the three-match series.

Rehman recorded his first five-wicket haul in a Test match on his way to figures of 6 for 25, while Ajmal claimed three for himself.

"It's difficult for any team in the world to bat against the likes of Saeed and Abdur on this wicket," said Misbah.

A year ago Pakistani cricket was in turmoil, ripped apart by a spot-fixing controversy which saw three of their players banned by the ICC.

Yet now they have won a Test series against the best side in the world to leave Misbah a hugely satisfied captain.

"I don't have words to describe how big this victory is for us, because it has come against the No. 1 team," he said.

"That was a much-needed victory for us. It was a wonderful team effort, everyone performed, everyone put 100% effort in.

Misbah was particularly impressed with the younger members of his squad.

"One thing you want from the youngsters is the temperament, especially in pressure situations," he said.

"England is the number one team but they crumbled under pressure."
