Career summary

- ODI debut v Sri Lanka at Nagpur - October 2005.

- Test debut v England at Nagpur - March 2006.

- Sreesanth is a fast bowler with a side-on action who is noted for his exuberant and emotional behaviour.

- Won a call-up to the India team on the back of superb performances in the 2005 Challenger Trophy. He repaid the selectors by picking up 6/55 against England in the same year.

- Helped India to a historic Test series victory in the West Indies in 2006 by picking up five wickets in the final Test in Jamaica.

- After being omitted for the 2007 series against England, Sreesanth played a key role during India's triumphant 2007 World Twenty20 campaign in South Africa.

- Sreesanth was on the receiving end in 2007 when Harbhajan Singh slapped him after an IPL game.

- He lost his way somewhat after that and had to wait until November 2009 before claiming a five-wicket Test haul against Sri Lanka.
