- Test debut v New Zealand at Dunedin - January 2008.
- ODI debut v Zimbabwe at Harare February 2007.
- T20I debut v Kenya at Nairobi (Gym) - September 2007.
- One of the finest young batsman in Bangladesh, achieved early success with his knock of 112 from just 71 balls to help Bangladesh U19s beat England in 2005.
- He is the younger brother of Bangladesh international Nafis Iqbal Khan and nephew of former Bangladesh skipper Akram Khan.
- He was included in the 2007 World Cup squad after playing just two matches.
- He scored a half century in each innings of his debut Test in Dunedin.
