- While playing for Scotland during the 1999 World Cup he sprang to prominence following some stunning batting displays.
-It earned him a place on England's tour to South Africa. However he scored a pair and failed to take a wicket in his only test and was dumped.
- He was picked again for Scotland for the 2004 ECC Championship and helped them qualify for the 2007 World Cup.
