- Test debut v West Indies at Hobart - November 2005.
- ODI debut v New Zealand at Auckland - December 2005.
- Right-handed batsman also known for his athletic fielding.
- Scored his maiden Test century against South Africa in Perth in December 2005, and finished on 203 not out.
- Scored 106 from 54 deliveries for Victoria in January 2006, becoming the first player to score a century in Australian domestic Twenty20.
- Struggled early on in the 2007 VB series before finding his feet to hit 97 against New Zealand and earn a place in Australia's World Cup winning squad.
