- Test debut v South Africa at Cape Town in March 2006

- ODI debut v ICC World XI at Melbourne (DS) in October 2005.

- Tall right-arm fast medium bowler.

- Took 40 wickets in 2004-05 for New South Wales as they won the Pura Cup.

- Called up to 2005 Ashes tour as cover for Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee.

- Made a superb Test debut against South Africa in March 2006 taking a total of 9 for 89, and went on to be Australia's leading wicket taker of the series with 20 wickets at just 15.85.
