- After a slow start to his county career, Tredwell finally established himself in the Kent squad in all forms of the game in 2003.
- He captained the England Under 19 and was also skipper of the ECB National Academy squad for 2003/04.
- After impressive performances with Kent, he won a place in the England Performance Squad in the winter of 2007. That was followed by a call-up to England's one-day squad for their tour of New Zealand in 2008.
- He only won his first cap for England in 2010, but it was worth the wait as he claimed 4 for 82 in the second innings to give him a match haul of 6 for 181.
