Career summary

- Having scored 163 on his Test debut, he subsequently became the youngest Test double centurian in the same series.

- Later in his career, he not only scored centuries in his 50th and 100th Test matches, but also in his 50th and 100th Test innings.

- He marked the 1,000th Test Match ever played  against New Zealand in 1984  by scoring a century in each innings.

- Javed Miandad is the only cricketer to appear in six World Cup competitions and his record of nine consecutive One Day International fifties still stands.
