Wavell Hinds will make his long-awaited debut for Derbyshire when they host Worcestershire in LV County Championship Division Two at Chesterfield.

The West Indian all-rounder was confirmed as a Kolpak signing after initially being refused clearance to play for the county by the England & Wales Cricket Board.

The Jamaican, who is a versatile batsman who bowls medium-pace, replaces seam bowler Kevin Dean in the Derbyshire line-up.

James Pipe has recovered from a finger injury and will keep wicket in place of Freddie Klokker.

Greg Smith is still unavailable with an arm muscle tear, while fast bowler Tom Lungley has a toe injury.

Gareth Andrew has been recalled to the Worcestershire squad.

The fast bowler missed the Pears' win over Essex last week, their first in the championship this season.

But he has recovered from a heel injury and replaces Chris Whelan in the bowling attack.

Matt Mason remains unable to make a return as he is still struggling with a groin injury.
