The Delhi Daredevils revived their flagging Indian Premier League campaign with a clinical 17-run win over leaders the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
David Warner weighed in with a quickfire 33 at the top of the order, while Kedar Jadhav made an unbeaten 50 and AB de Villiers struck a solid 45 in the Daredevils total of 183 for five at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Jacques Kallis (27) and Manish Pandey (39) began the Royal Challengers' reply confidently with a 71-run stand for the opening wicket, but their dismissals led to a collapse and the home side were restricted to 166 for nine.
Warner gave the Daredevils' innings a lightning start, although he was a touch fortunate early on.
Warner made his intentions clear from the start, but was lucky to get escape when Robin Uthappa grassed a difficult chance at long-off with the batsman on four, while another edge when on 24 fell just short of Mark Boucher.
Warner's stay was powerful but brief and when Virender Sehwag also departed for a subdued 12, the pace dropped considerably.
The early charge helped the Daredevils amass 64 from the powerplay and the rest of the order had a solid platform to build on.
De Villiers and Dinesh Karthik (17) consolidated with a 43-run stand before Karthik was run out at the non-striker's end, but Jadhav, playing his first match this season, continued to bolster his team's position.
The Royal Challengers then made further inroads with the wicket of De Villiers, but Jadhav accelerated nicely at the death and, aided by a neat cameo from Andrew McDonald (18), helped the Daredevils past the 180-run mark.
Jadhav reached his half-century off 29 deliveries and smacked five fours and two sixes.
The Royal Challengers' response began sedately in comparison, but Kallis and Pandey kept the home side in touch with a no-frills opening stand.
Then, for the first time in five matches, the Royal Challengers suffered a collapse, losing both openers, Rahul Dravid (one) and Uthappa (15) in the space of three overs.
Eoin Morgan (17) briefly steadied the chase with a 30-run stand for the fifth wicket with Virat Kohli (38 not out), but he was run out in the 15th over and Mark Boucher (2) was dismissed in the next over and the home side slipped quickly from there.
