Despite an extremely successful stint with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, it's in the Test arena Sohail Tanvir wishes to shine.
The Pakistan pace bowler told Gulf News: "If you are ranked as a player, it is solely based on your performance in Tests. The one-day and Twenty20 versions are meant to entertain the crowds who come to watch sixes, boundaries, catches and wickets.
"I am comfortable in all forms of the game, but it is Test cricket that I would love to prove myself now."
Tanvir - who fetched a mere 100,000 US dollars at the IPL players' auction and finished with 22 wickets at 12.90 apiece - is also keen to cash in the next time the popular Twenty20 tourney is held.
"I know I am worth much more and based on my performances. I think I can easily get a million dollars, if not more," enthused the lanky fast bowler. "I have two or three very lucrative offers from other IPL franchises, but there is time for me to make a decision for next year."
