Andrew Flintoff's successful return to the England side has seen the Lancashire all-rounder rocket up the Reliance Mobile ICC one-day bowling rankings.
Flintoff made his return to the England fold after a 16-month absence when he was recalled to the squad for the second Test against South Africa at Headingley.
He then went on to star in England's 4-0 NatWest one day international series victory over the Proteas.
He took the most wickets in the series (10) at the lowest average (12.90). His economy rate was also the most prudent at 4.20 per over and he had the best strike-rate (18.40) of anyone who bowled more than five overs in the series.
The highlight of his return to the ODI team was at Lord's where his three for 21 helped England to secure a 4-0 lead.
These performances have caused the 30-year-old to move up five places from 13th to eighth in the bowling standings.
He still remains the best-rated all-rounder in the world ahead of Pakistan's Shoaib Malik and New Zealand's Jacob Oram.
In the overall team rankings England remain level with New Zealand on 116 points in third place.
A victory over South Africa in the abandoned final ODI at Cardiff would have seen England leapfrog the Proteas into second place.
England captain Kevin Pietersen (seventh) is still the only England batsman in the batting top 20 while Stuart Broad joins Flintoff in the top 10 of the bowling rankings in fifth.
Andre Nel's poor performance with the ball has seen him drop to 13th in the rankings while Makhaya Ntini has dropped out of the top 20.
