Nathan Bracken's manager, Rob Horton, has set the record straight in the wake of Vijay Mallya's comments that the Bangalore Royal Challengers will look to replace the Australian fast bowler ahead of the next Indian Premier League.
The owner of the Bangalore franchise claimed Bracken "has not signed his contract with us", adding the left-arm seamer is "prone to injury".
But Horton told Cricket365: "Mallya seems to be very poorly informed and comments such as 'Bracken is injury-prone' are baseless.
"Bracken has signed a contract with Bangalore. He is currently the world's number one ODI bowler and has been for a good part of 2008. He was the Player of Series in the 2007/2208 tri-series between India, Australia and Sri Lanka in Australia.
"He played every game in that series and hasn't missed a game through injury (including the World Cup) for over three years. I cannot see how that is prone to injury," said Horton.
"After that series he had a knee operation but was again bowling for Australia in the ODI Series against Bangladesh. He is looking forward to the ODIs against New Zealand and South Africa," added Horton.
