Indian Cricket League (ICL) executive board member Kiran More has refuted reports that the rebel body is planning a Twenty20 World Cup.

Reports on Sunday said the rebel ICL was planning to hold a tournament which would mirror the World Cup with players from England, South Africa, New Zealand and India participating.

English cricketers Graeme Hick, Darren Gough, Ali Brown, Dominic Cork, Robert Croft, Chris Adams, Mark Ramprakash and Mark Ealham were all reported to be targets of the ICL.

But former Indian Test wicketkeeper More said the ICL had no such plans.

"The reports are not true," More said.

"We have no such plans nor have we approached any of the players from any country to sign up.

"It is incorrect to assume that we are planning for any such World Cup when we are all set to go ahead with our annual Twenty20 tournament.
