Kumar Sangakkara has been named in the Sri Lanka squad to tour Zimbabwe.
Sangakkara was advised to take two months rest by doctors after undergoing finger surgery in September but selectors decided to include him in the squad due to the lack of options in the wicketkeeping department.
Dashing opener Sanath Jayasuriya and left-arm paceman Chaminda Vaas opted out of the tour citing personal reasons.
Selectors also handed all-rounder Angelo Mathews a maiden call-up while including Upul Tharanga in the team.
Squad: Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Udawatte, Chamara Kapugedara, Jehan Mubarak, Thilan Kandamby, Upul Tharanga, Farveez Maharoof, Thilan Thushara, Nuwan Kulasekara, Ajantha Mendis, Dilhara Fernando, Muttiah Muralitharan, Angelo Mathews, Dhammika Prasad.
