West Indies wrapped up a 4-1 series win against Zimbabwe on Sunday but it was another unconvincing victory in St Vincent.
Chris Gayle's men won by four wickets in the fifth and final one-day international but limped to their victory target after initially impressing with the ball, dismissing the tourists for just 161.
Charles Coventry was the only batsman to make a significant contribution for Zimbabwe with 56.
After slumping to 25 for five in the 16th over, Coventry did well to haul the visitors up to a mildly respectable total, with the tail end chipping in with some helpful runs.
In reply, man of the match Gayle led the way with a typically explosive 63 before he was caught on the long-off fence going in search of another boundary.
The West Indies wobbled after his departure, losing another three wickets for just eight runs, but a robust 36 from Kieron Pollard was enough to nudge them over the line in front of a boisterous crowd.
