The West Indies will be without captain Darren Sammy and batsman Chris Gayle for the first two ODIs against Zimbabwe later this week, as the duo are being rested, meaning Dwayne Bravo will lead the side.

The three-match series gets under way in the Caribbean on 22 February, and Denesh Ramdin and Veerasammy Permaul have been added to the squad. Also out are Jason Holder and Devon Thomas, who did not have good series against Australia.

Otherwise, the Windies are still without all-rounder Marlon Samuels, who is still recovering from being struck in the face by a Lasith Malinga delivery during the Big Bash League in Australia.

Windies squad: Dwayne Bravo (capt), Tino Best, Darren Bravo, Johnson Charles, Narsingh Deonarine, Sunil Narine, Veerasammy Permaul, Kieron Pollard, Kieran Powell, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Kemar Roach, Andre Russell, Ramnaresh Sarwan
