Proteas cruise past Bangladesh to record 5-0 series sweep
The Proteas women beat Bangladesh by six wickets in Bloemfontein on Monday to round off a 5-0 ODI series whitewash.
For the first time in the series Bangladesh used all fifty of their overs to post 166 for 9.
Shamina Sultana (53) and skipper Rumana Ahmed (74) hit half-centuries but they were pretty much along in making contributions.
The Proteas bowlers kept things tight with Shabnim Ismail returning figures of 3 for 17 to end as the pick of the bowlers.
Sultana and Ahmed shared the only partnership of any great substance for the tourists pulling them from 23 for 3 to 104 for 4 when Sultana was accounted for by Marizanne Kapp.

Lizelle Lee (44) and Laura Wolvaardt gave the Proteas a steady start to their chase adding 79 for the first wicket.
Despite losing Lee and Trisha Chetty (0) off consecutive balls to Khadija Tul Kubra (3/37) Wolvaardt kept her cool to guide the home team home with fully 15 overs to spare.
Wolvaardt ended 70 not out and a cameo from Dane van Niekerk (29) helped her pull the Proteas around to complete the whitewash.
