England's women's hopes of completing a 5-0 series whitewash over Australia were dashed as torrential rain put paid to the final one-day international at Lord's.

Three wickets for 11 runs from Laura Marsh helped limit the tourists to 100 for seven from 31 overs.

The off-spinner dismissed Shelley Nitschke (21), Lisa Sthalekar (nought) and Lauren Ebsary (six).

England got their innings off to a terrible start as the loss of Sarah Taylor (one) and Caroline Atkins (four) left them on six for two.

But further rain forced the abandonment of the game.
