England Women completed their one-day international series against India with a nail-biting two-wicket win off the penultimate ball of the match in Mumbai.

The series was already gone, but chasing 206 for nine, debutants Heather Knight and Danielle Wyatt each demonstrated their potential to help England pull off a consolation success and salvage a 3-2 scoreline.

Knight made 49 at the top of the order, and Wyatt hit 28 from only 25 balls to get the tourists over the line. England began the match superbly, reducing their hosts to nine for three after Nicky Shaw had won the toss.

A half-century from in-form veteran Mithali Raj and Harmanprit Kaur's 84 ensured a significant Indian recovery.

England openers Knight and Beth Morgan then put on 44, but England had to bat well down the order too for a deserved victory.
