England women cruised to a 37-run win in their opening Twenty20 international against New Zealand at Chelmsford.
Captain Charlotte Edwards top-scored with 46 as England posted a total of 150 for five in their 20 overs, and the tourists never looked likely to chase it down.
They eventually subsided to 113 all out with seven balls remaining, Danielle Wyatt wrapping up the innings with three for 12.
Edwards received good support from Claire Taylor (32) in a second-wicket stand of 68 to lay the platform for England's total, which was bolstered by some late hitting from Laura Marsh, with 18 from 10 balls, and then Lydia Greenway (23 not out from 17).
Greenway was named player of the match after taking four catches - the first of them to dismiss opener Suzie Bates from the second ball of the innings - and a run-out.
Spinner Danielle Hazell took two for 19 and Anya Shrubsole two for 16, while Sara McGlashan top-scored with 25 as only three New Zealanders passed 20.
