England lost the fifth and final one-day international against New Zealand by six wickets at Lord's but they still ended the series with a 3-2 win.

England fielded an unchanged team following Saturday's series win at Barnsley and after winning the toss captain Charlotte Edwards opted to bat first.

Sarah Taylor (five) opened with Heather Knight (34) but the pair could not manage a repeat of Saturday's partnership, with the former one of a four-wicket haul for Erin Bermingham - who was named player of the match for her performance as she finished with figures of four for 35.

Lydia Greenway (65) put England right back in the game by setting her highest ODI score, picking up eight boundaries.

Greenway built a solid innings with Laura Marsh (11) and Katherine Brunt (11), before she was caught by Aimee Watkins off a ball from Sophie Devine.

Holly Colvin made 17 not out to guide England to a final total of 176 for nine.

New Zealand set about chasing down the runs, but Brunt (two for 38) picked up the early wickets of Maria Fahey (four) and Lucy Doolan (16) to reduce the White Ferns to 22 for two.

Marsh (one for 34) followed Brunt by claiming the wicket of Suzie Bates (eight) to leave New Zealand 35 for three and England hopeful they could pull the game back.

However, Amy Satterthwaite (59) and Sara McGlashan (65*) made the winning contributions for New Zealand who won by six wickets.
