From the Editor :

England need to win the fourth ODI at the Chinaswamy Stadium if they want to keep their hopes of winning the series alive. James Anderson's place in the team appears to be in danger while Paul Collingwood could also find himself on the sidelines. Reckon they should ring the changes?

The South Africans duly wrapped up victory on day four of the opening Test against Bangladesh. Dale Steyn claimed yet another five-wicket haul, but unfortunately Morne Morkel continues to struggle with his rhythm. Do you have any advice for Morkel?

Staying with the Proteas. They've announced their squad for the tour to Australia later this year. Surprisingly C365's favourite spinner Robin Peterson is included instead of Johan Botha while left-arm fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe also gets a call-up. What do you make of this team? Do Peterson and Tsotsobe deserve their places?

After finding themselves in a lot of trouble in the early part of the Tests, Australia look to be heading for a comfortable win against the Kiwis thanks to Simon Katich's vigil on day three. The opener carried his bat to give the hosts a big target to defend. The visitors then lost wickets quickly and now it's only Ross Taylor standing between the Aussies and victory. Are the Aussies back on track or will this match just cover up some cracks?

Meanwhile Zimbabwe continue to struggle against Sri Lanka. They lost the second one by nine wickets after getting bundled out for just 67. Can things get any worse for the Zimbos?

As you can see there is plenty to talk about, but if you fancy a longer rant, do mail us here.

That's all, for now.

Cheers,

The C365 team

I don't know about that, I don't feel particularly good after bowling my 7 year old cousin.

A bowler's confidence can be lifted by bowling well against even the weakest opposition... i agree that morkel seems a bit confused about how to go about bowling, steyn really needs to start taking top order wickets... need more consistency from devilliers in that middle order

I don't know how high Australia will be after beating a lowly New Zealand team. They should be feeling bad that the game was ever allowed to get as close as it did. A few questions marks remain for South Africa. The middle order failed pretty spectacularly against Bangladesh. Morkel is bowling way way below his potential. Can Ntini still mix it with the big boys? Unfortunately playing Bangladesh doesn't do a lot in proving anything, so I guess we will find out when the real action starts in December. Clarke bowled well, but it might of helped the batsman had they offered a shot. That's 3 wickets this match where a batsman is out by not offering one.

Harris out for 3 weeks. I would not risk exposing him to a pumped up Aussie team. Enter Johan Botha. Morkel and Steyn looked terrible today even though Steyn got 5 sticks. I also figured out a reason why South Africa actually enforced the follow on after the Bangladesh "B" team got 153 all out in their 1st innings. They perhaps were testing their mental fitness in the field knowing full well that the Australians will not easily be bowled out for 153 in their 1st innings. At least all the bowlers got a run. I feel it might not be out batting which is the problem. QUOTAS ;)

I was watching some of the Aussie V Black Cap game this morning and Stuart Clarke looks the most dangerous bowler Australia have at the moment. He is accurate and can move the ball both ways. We are going to miss Polly to tie up one end. Pity we could not get McClaren but because of certain reasons he aint available to us anymore. lol. QUOTAS QUOTAS QUOTAS :)

438/9 you assume too much. Like I said we can meet ANYTIME. No Problem. You want to threaten people online then lets see if you can back your threats up in real life ok? On the matter of crying to my Mother 438/9, well I cried to yours last night and she told me why you make so many empty threats. Shame poor you, ROFL!!!!!! If you wanna talk about your abusive Father you can ok? LMAO!!!!!! Little boy trying to act tough hey? I can see right through your act. ANYTIME or ANY PLACE DOOSH.

The editor says.... Karma, I'm not saying that you started this. But I will suggest that you're targeted because it's easy to draw a response out of you. Let's leave this one at that, so to speak.

"..the doosh bag comment was wonderful....if you're in Grade 2." Yes, very immature of you Karma. In future, please follow the lead of 438/9 (an ex-Mensa member I'm led to believe) if you feel the need to insult others. Here's some recent examples of how he approaches the task: "Australia - you suck!" "..you clueless plonkers.." "..you illiterate ASS.." .."you twit.." "..shut your pie hole.." "..give it a rest you jerk!!!

The Saffers have their best ever chance to win something in Oz. Not because I think they are great but because I believe this to be the weakest Oz side I have ever seen. (Yet they'll still waste NZ) But what a difference Stuart Clark makes. That guy has the potential to be even better than McGrath. Even though he waggles his a head a hell of a lot when he walks...

The ball from Clark to Elliot was awesome to watch. Just took the top of offstump, perfect line.

To add my 20 cents' worth to the donald-barnes debate... i think coaches should be judged on coaching ability and perfomance rather than playing credentials. the best players do not necessarily become good coaches. i dont remember mickey arthur being a cricketing legend in his playing time, yet he seems to be turning out to be one of the best coaches in the world. donald may have been a better player, but does that make him the better coach?

Karma, go cry to your mom or someone who cares. Not that such a person exists beyond the realm of your crazy little mind. Let the restt of us talk cricket. Oh, and the doosh bag comment was wonderful....if you're in Grade 2. C'mon NZ! Give it a go chaps!!!

Allan Donald seems more interested in coaching England. He was their bowling consultant/coach for a while, wasn't he?

I'll eat my shoe without salt and pepper if the Kiwis cross 200.

That's game, set and match to the Aussies. I won't be surprised if the Kiwis fold up under 150.

If the fighting form of the forum members is any indicator, the SA team should roll over all comers this summer :-)

My mistake Emerlander, if you reread your birthday post, it can be interpreted as it's been a year since you have been online here.

Ed, I will respect your call for a suspension of posts concerning quotas. But just as our loss in india forced me to post my south african team,a loss to n.z. may send me to the realm of quotas in my despair.Naturally, if this most trying of circumstances comes to exist I can make no promises.

@ ed... i think our chances are ever improving... our batsmen have come a long way in the past couple of months. our top order has no walking wicket... need i say more about our bowling? the aussies on the other hand are looking really vulnerable for once... we are more than capable of taking it.

Thanks, guys and Ed. I think Smith's decision was a good one in the end, judging by the weather. I have friends in Bloem who are telling me that it doesn't look great at all. It wouldn't do to draw a test against Bangladesh at home, even if we only get 2 and a half day's play.

I think our chances are considerably better than they've been in years. I doubt many people would argue with me when I say SA have to have one of the most, if not the most settled test side in world cricket at the moment. While Australia are in a rebuilding period at the moment. If SA don't take advantage of this - they'll be kicking themselves! I think a lot will also depend on the mind games both teams are going to play, and unfortunately, Australia have always been one up on us in those.....
