Morgan picks out three England players for special praise

Eoin Morgan thinks his England side played “played extremely well” as they bounced back to winning ways against India on Sunday.
Morgan’s men got their World Cup bid back on track following two defeats on the bounce as they defeated India by 31 runs at Edgbaston to move back into the top four.
It was an impressive performance by England and they got off to the perfect start as Jonny Bairstow, who smashed 111 runs, put on an opening stand of 160 with fit again Jason Roy.
Morgan was delighted with the whole team, but says there are more big tests to come, with New Zealand next up.
“We played extremely well. Jason Roy and Bairstow at the top were magnificent to watch,” Morgan said. “The continuation of partnerships throughout took us to a formidable total.
“Our bowlers bowled well too. Liam Plunkett has been outstanding for us for four years, absolutely outstanding, particularly in that middle period of the innings.
“No game in this tournament is easy. Every game has been extremely tough and it will continue to be.”
