Watch: Cricket takes hold in South Korea
The Asian Games are being played in Incheon, South Korea, this month, and the hosts are fielding a cricket team, most of whom only heard about the game a year ago, or less, but are using their baseball skills to good effect.
Former Pakistan fielding coach Julien Fountain is helping the South Koreans learn the game rather quickly, with many of them never even having heard of the game until they were approached about the Asian Games.
Most of them are baseball players, plucked from college teams to learn cricket, with some amusing batting techniques and bowling actions resulting. Unlearning the ‘chucking’ action must have been tricky.
