Ashwin keen to achieve more for India

Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest India player to reach 200 wickets in Test cricket when he trapped Kane Williamson leg before on Sunday in Kanpur.
Ashwin reached the milestone in his 37th Test, meaning only former Australia leg-spinner Clarrie Grimmett has reached the mark faster than the allrounder.
The tweaker said after play: “Ever since coming back from Australia [in 2014-15], I have been enjoying my last 80-100 wickets. I was planning my wickets better.
“The challenge from the opposition is always good. For example, Williamson was playing really well. (Ross) Taylor was playing back. It’s a combination of playing good batsmen, conditions and match situations that makes this satisfying.”
The spinner is eager to achieve many more things for India but won’t be taking anything for granted.
Ashwin concluded: “I think it’s too early to talk about my achievements I have a long way to go. Very important to take one day at a time, Test cricket can set you back if you take it for granted. Be greedy in terms of what you want to achieve, but preparing for a Test, you have to take it one day at a time.”
India are just six wickets away from going 1-0 up in the series after Ashwin grabbed three wickets to help reduce New Zealand to 93/4 chasing 433 to win
