The 12 Test nations with the most (and least) ICC Hall of Fame inductees – Australia are not in the lead

Michael Clarke has become the latest player to be inducted into the International Cricket Council’s Hall of Fame, which started in 2009.
The former Australian captain has help his country close the gap on England, who have the most ICC Hall of Fame inductees.
Let’s explore which countries have the most and least number of inductees in the ICC’s Hall of Fame.
9. Zimbabwe – 1 ICC Hall of Fame inductee
Andy Flower is Zimbabwe’s one and only ICC Hall of Fame inductee. He achieved this honour in 2021, some two decades after a relatively prolific 10-year career for his country.
8. New Zealand – 3 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Richard Hadlee was the first in 2009, then Debbie Hockley in 2014 – and later Martin Crowe in 2015. It’s not unlikely that Kane Williamson will join this list for New Zealand in the future.
7. Sri Lanka – 4 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Aravinda de Silva, Muttiah Muralitharan, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene make up Sri Lanka’s ICC Hall of Famers so far. That’s two great batters and a prolific spinner right there.
6. South Africa – 7 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Allan Donald, Aubrey Faulkner, Jacques Kallis, Graeme Pollock, Shaun Pollock, Barry Richards and AB de Villiers are South Africa‘s Hall of Famers. Richards and Faulker are from bygone eras, while de Villiers is the country’s latest inductee.
5. Pakistan – 7 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Unsuprisingly, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan and Wasim Akram lead the list of most notable ICC Hall of Fame inductees from Pakistan. Hanif Mohammad, Javed Miandad, Abdul Qadir and Zaheer Abbas are also there.

4. India – 10 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
India are one of only four countries to have 10 or more ICC Hall of Fame inductees. Of course, Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar is on the list. Women’s cricketers Neetu David and Diana Edulji have the honour as well.
3. West Indies – 21 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Curtly Ambrose, Joel Garner, Brian Lara, Michael Holding, Clive Lloyd, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and more – several illustrious names have achieved this feat for the West Indies. And lest we forget Desmond Haynes, too.
2. Australia – 30 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Clarke, indeed, is on the list now. He has taken Australia a step closer to going past England. Ian Chappell, Greg Chappell, Ricky Ponting, Shane Warne, Steve Waugh and several other famous Australian cricketers did it before Clarke.
1. England – 33 ICC Hall of Fame inductees
Alastair Cook and Ian Botham are among England‘s most revered ICC Hall of Fame inductees. Joe Root will probably join them in the future.
Ireland, Afghanistan and Bangladesh don’t have ICC Hall of Fame inductees.
