Watch: Smith celebrates return to Australia fold with stunning catch
Steve Smith celebrated his and David Warner’s return to international cricket with a brilliant bit of fielding in an Australia XI win over a New Zealand XI.
The Aussies started their preparations for the 50-over World Cup in England with the first of three unofficial warm-up games against a Kiwis XI in Brisbane on Monday.
Former skipper, Smith, and ex-deputy, Warner, both played a part after returning to the fold following their 12-month bans for ball tampering.
Warner scored 39 off 43 balls and Smith hit 22 off 43 balls to guide the Australia XI to a one-wicket victory.
It was Smith, though, that stole the show with a sensational one-handed catch to dismiss New Zealand captain Tom Latham.
Not a bad way to make your comeback…
