Tigers drop Al-Amin for second Test

Bangladesh have decided to drop fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain for the second Test against Zimbabwe in Khulna, after he failed to impress in the victory in Dhaka.

Al-Amin was only used for wight overs in the first innings and none in the second, with the Tigers seemingly wary given he had been reported for chucking last month. He didn’t take a wicket.

He has been replaced in the squad by Anamul Haque, a wicketkeeper, who will join up with the squad later this week. Otherwise, Taijul Islam, who took eight second innings wickets, and debutant Jubair Hossain, are retained.

Squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (capt), Tamim Iqbal (vice-capt), Shakib Al Hasan, Shamsur Rahman, Mominul Haque, Rubel Hossain, Shuvagata Hom, Mahmudullah, Shafiul Islam, Jubair Hossain, Shahadat Hossain, Marshall Ayub, Taijul Islam, Anamul Haque
