Black Caps call up Wagner as bowling cover

New Zealand have called up left-arm paceman Neil Wagner as cover for Tim Southee after the swing bowler suffered a back injury in the on the second day of the first Test against Australia at the Gabba on Friday.
Southee, who could be in doubt for the rest of the three-match series, will have scans to check on the extent of the injury but the Black Caps have already summoned Wagner, who has 58 wickets in 16 Tests.
New Zealand coach Mike Hesson said: "Tim will continue to be monitored and assessed over the coming days, but it's important we have all of our bases covered.
"Bringing Neil into the squad as cover assures us of that."
Fast bowler Matt Henry is already in the squad and should come into the team to support Trent Boult and Doug Bracewell in the pace attack should Southee be ruled out.
The second Test starts in Perth on 13 November.
