Boult excited about Day-Night Test in India

New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult says that playing a pink ball Test in India later this year would be wonderful, and that the conditions would suit his bowling under lights.

While the Test has not been confirmed, and teams like South Africa reluctant to play with the pink ball, Boult is eager, having played in the first ever such match, against Australia in Adelaide last year.

He told Wisden India of the prospect of playing at night in India: "The experience of playing the Test with the pink ball (in Adelaide last year) was great, the buzz was fantastic.

"It's definitely exciting for Test cricket, and we need to see more of it.

"The ball swings nicely here in India most of the time as well. The spin bowlers also spin it a lot. It's going to be pretty exciting if it happens."

While the Black Caps top brass has not yet agreed to the match, NZC chief David White said they're open to it.

White told Radio Sport NZ: "We will work closely with the players, but in saying that, if the trials look good and they (India) are comfortable with (the trials) it's very positive from our point of view.

"We believe day-night Test cricket has a big future in the game."
