CSA to stream ODIs live online for NZ fans

New Zealand

Cricket South Africa, in an unprecedented move, will provide Black Caps fans living in New Zealand access to the remaining two ODI’s involving the Proteas and the Black Caps.

Fans living in New Zealand will now be able to catch all the action live via web streaming. The live streaming will be hosted on CSA’s website, www.cricket.co.za and will be free of charge to fans living in New Zealand only.

"I am truly delighted that we have been able to fashion out the technical requirements needed to stream live the two remaining ODI matches to New Zealand,” said CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat.

"With New Zealand cricket fans top of our minds, we were determined to provide them with live action of two top teams and this will now happen through live web streaming.

"There will be no commercial gain for us streaming live but at the same time it presents us with an exciting opportunity to enter the world of live streaming of our events for the very first time.

"I must take this opportunity to express disappointment at not having concluded a deal earlier with Sky NZ and to later media reports which failed to accurately report the state of affairs.

"I must also take this opportunity to thank our host broadcaster, SuperSport, and the other partners including IMG who worked around the clock to make this possible for fans in New Zealand." concluded Lorgat.

Play in the second ODI starts at 10h00 (CAT)/ 20h00 (NZ time)
