India tour of New Zealand trimmed

New Zealand Cricket have confirmed next year's tour of India has been shortened by two fixtures.
New Zealand Cricket have confirmed next year's tour of India has been shortened by two fixtures.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India have reportedly asked for the truncation in order to compete in the Asia Cup.
The schedule originally included three Tests, five ODIs and a one-off Twenty20 International, but one Test and the T20I have been deducted.
"It's brilliant that the Black Caps will be playing five ODIs against the world's top one-day side given the proximity of World Cup in 2015," said chief executive David White, who did not reveal whether NZC would receive compensation from the BCCI for loss in revenue.
The Indians' first tour of New Zealand since 2009 will start on 19 January and end on 28 February.
