Kiwis could go with an all out pace attack

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum has given the strongest possible hint that the Black Caps will play an all out pace attack in the second and final Test against Australia in Christchurch, starting on Saturday.

The Kiwis need to win to level the series and looking at the greenness of the surface, McCullum will be tempted to drop the spinner from the team that lost by an innings and 52 runs in Wellington.

The Black Caps skipper confirmed that fast bowler Matt Henry will replace the injured Doug Bracewell but it is slow bowler Mark Craig who could well be sacrificed for the left-arm seam of Neil Wagner.

McCullum said on Friday: "Matt Henry will come in for Doug Bracewell and it's just trying to work out whether we play Mark Craig or Neil Wagner and that's the decision we've got to make.

"Maybe it's one of those times when fortune favours the brave. We'll see what unfolds. I think it will go around for a while … It's probably not quite as hard as the Basin.

"I thought the Basin was a really good cricket wicket. It did a lot in that first session and then dried out a little bit quicker than what a team who's been bowled out for 180 wanted."
