KP, Steyn among players released by IPL teams
Kevin Pietersen and Dale Steyn were among the high profile names that were released by their Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises as the first trading window closed on Thursday.
Pietersen missed the last season's entire competition due to a shoulder injury, but will be among the sought after players when the auction takes place in Bangalore on 6 February.
Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews and Yuvraj Singh, who was recently recalled to India T20 squad, were both cut from the Delhi Daredevils squad.
